Most people have no idea what it really feels like to feel GOOD.
Headaches, fatigue, bloating, acne, digestive issues… these are all things that most people think are a normal part of everyday life. Well, guess what… they aren’t!!! These are all symptoms of an unbalanced body, that can easily be gone!
I personally dealt with my fair share of the ‘norm’ before changing my lifestyle to a more healthful one. I was overweight, suffered from acne, had terrible monthly cycles and had a very not fun case of IBS that I had been told I could do nothing about. It was my day to day, I had accepted it all as normal and had no idea how good I could feel!
This is why I’ve become a health coach. I know what it’s like to be ‘normal’ and I know what it’s like to feel great. Everyone should know how GREAT can feel!
So, how does health coaching work?
Health Coaching is NOT about giving you a diet to stick to and then checking up on you to make sure you are sticking to it. That doesn’t work, it isn’t sustainable, and it isn’t fun.
Health Coaching is working with you on all levels to see where some small changes here and there can bring about balance and let your body get to it’s happy place. This is different for everyone! No set plan is ever going to work for every person, you are an individual, so your road to health will be as well!
As a Health Coach, I create a supportive environment that will enable you to achieve all of your health goals. I have studied all the major dietary theories and use practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering which approach works best for you.
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. It is not to create lists of restrictions or good and bad foods. Instead, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and rewarding.
Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance and health.
